Beautiful Screenshots + AI Automation on Steroids

Search and contact creators for free, analyze startups, replace Google Analytics and more

Greetings from The SaaSsy Entrepreneur, a weekly newsletter that injects a healthy dose of digital steroids into your life and business πŸ’‰

Today we'll cover 5 useful tools and 5 interesting links.

βŒ›οΈ TL;DR

  • Automate repetitive tasks with AI - Magical

  • Beautify screenshots - Pika

  • Manage influencer marketing campaigns - Moonio

  • Bloomberg for investing in startups - KingsCrowd

  • Affordable privacy-focused Google Analytics alternative - Beam

πŸ› οΈ Productivity

  • Automated data collection & entry, messaging, filling out forms, etc.

  • Powerful custom templates for common tasks suggested by AI

  • Works on any website without relying on APIs, integrations, or workflow builders

Pricing: Free (for now)

My 2 cents: A very promising tool for automation junkies among us. Based on first impression, Magical could even replace quite a few Zapier tasks aka zaps. That should save you a pretty buck. If you believe there's no such thing as too much automation, give Magical a try.

🎨 Creativity

  • Add frames, backgrounds, annotations, watermarks, and more to screenshots

  • Apply device mockup templates, code snippet templates

  • Resize for social media and other use cases, capture screenshots from URL

Pricing: Free with limited features; Pro at $12/month or $120/year

My 2 cents: While some screenshot takers like CleanShot and Xnapper have similar features, I still often find myself turning to Pika for extra fancy screenshots. It has a few features that I really like such as URL-to-screenshot, code snippet screenshots, and image tilting.

πŸ“ˆ Marketing

  • Manage influencer marketing campaigns

  • Find and reach out to creators

  • Track and analyze campaign performance

Pricing: Free with limited features; Professional at $49/month; Advanced at $199/month

My 2 cents: If your brand or product/service could benefit from influencer marketing (and most can) give Moonio a try. It's the only platform I know of with free creator search and outreach. Nothing to lose and a lot to gain.

πŸ’° Money

  • Find, research, and track startup investments

  • Analyze pre-rated companies raising on platforms like Wefunder, StartEngine, and Republic

Pricing: Free with limited features; Edge at $15/month; Edge Pro at $50/month; 17% off when billed annually

My 2 cents: Another company aiming to become a Bloomberg for X. In this case, the X is a startup investment. KingsCrowd is a startup that aggregates and analyzes startup data (ironic, huh) from multiple sources to help make better investment decisions.

πŸ’» Business

  • Privacy-focused web traffic analytics

  • GDPR, CCPA, and PECR compliant

  • Analyze user funnels and cohort retention

Pricing: Free up to 100K page views/month; Commercial at $11/month + $2/month for every extra 100K page views

My 2 cents: I've previously covered Simple Analytics, a similar privacy-first Google Analytics alternative. However, Beam has one thing going for it that others, including Simple, don't - affordability. You get 100K views for free. That is some serious traffic. I'll be migrating soon.

How to know what you really want by Luke Burgis goes deep into the societal nature of desires and temptations. The article is based on RenΓ© Girard's mimetic theory, an idea that more often than not we want what others have. Be it things, experiences, or lifestyles. And the closer the people are, the more they influence us.

TimeMyMeeting - a meeting timer with a twist. Once you start it shows your meeting length compared to some random event. For example, a 44-minute-long meeting is longer than an episode of Breaking Bad. Talk about perspective.

Google search is dying - the author makes a case for the inevitable demise of Google's search engine dominance. The ads-filled SERPs, SEO-optimized poor-quality sites, and the rise of AI all point to Google's slow decay of user satisfaction and eventually revenue.

How Loom created a category - A short breakdown of how to position your brand differently in order to define and dominate a new category. Example: Loom - a video messaging for work vs every other screen recorder out there prior to Loom.

Inverse Cramer ETF is coming for real πŸ˜‚ Tuttle Capital has filed prospectuses for two Cramer-tracking funds: the Long Cramer ETF (LJIM) and the Inverse Cramer ETF (SJIM). Each ETF will hold 20-25 equally weighted stock picks and be actively managed. I guess any publicity is good publicity.

The name of the game is "Guess the number of replies" 🎰

Simply reply to this email with your best guess of how many people reply to this email in one week. Whoever guesses the correct number wins the prize pool money πŸ’° The counter resets every week, btw.

If no one guesses the number I'll double the pool and the show will go on. Heads up, I'll be posting the # of active newsletter subscribers on Twitter and LinkedIn occasionally.

If by the year's end, the game is still on I'll donate the money to a charity of y'all's choosing.

May the odds be ever in your favor!
